A time of change for Phoenocean Ltd.

When the Covid restrictions have been released, we started cooperation with new Shipowners/Managers. In both offices, this is related to changes, as well as organizational as personal, as increased recruitment needs in new areas. We started to provide our services to Ro-Ro, Ro-Pax, Product Tankers, and LNG ships for reputable Shipowners/Managers such as Zeaborn, Knutsen, and Thome.

Our cooperation with foreign Shipowners/Managers includes also the organization of specialized courses like: training in Ship Handling Iława (on ships models), in Gdynia and Warnemunde (on simulators) for our Captains, Senior Officers, and Chief Engineers.

We also organize flights for seafarers (airline tickets), ground transportation (minibuses). We offer additional medical programs for Seafarers and their families (HMS), medical examinations for health certificates, PEME, complete payroll, organization of all specialized courses at the request of Shipowners, arrangement of visas and flag documents of Liberia, Portugal, Malta, Cyprus, Marshall Islands, Singapore, UK, organization of professional seminars for Officers, etc.

Phoenocean Ltd. operates on the basis of certificates issued by the Ministry of Economy and Labor in 2004 and the MLC 2006 certificate of compliance issued by the Maritime Office in Gdynia.

Phoenocean Ltd. is a member of APMAR, the Association of Polish Manning Agents and Recruiters.

The CPO fleet was expanding by another 13 newly built container ships and 16 product tanker ships of 36,000 DWT and 52,000 DWT, which are manned by our Captains, Officers, Cadets, and Assistants from the Maritime Academies in Gdynia and Szczecin.

The opening of the Phoenocean Ltd. branch office in Gdynia has created new, great opportunities and facilities in servicing seafarers, as well as more direct contacts with all maritime institutions, universities, training, and health centers related to this activity.

An important moment in the Company’s activity was establishing cooperation with the German Shipowner Reederei Claus-Peter Offen (RCPO) from Hamburg (www.offenship.de).

Currently under the name CPO Crewing GmbH & Co. KG is one of the significant and dynamically developing Shipowners, with container ships from 5,500 TEU to 14,500 TEU.

Phoenocean Ltd. in Warsaw was established as one of the first foreign shipowners’ representatives recruiting Polish Captains, Officers, and Seamen to work on foreign flags’ ships. In the mid of ’90s, the scope of Phoenocean Ltd. services was expanded to include the recruitment of repair brigades and the supply of spare parts for ships.

From the beginning Phoenocean Ltd. has offered practical training on foreign Shipowners’ ships to Cadets and Graduates of Maritime Universities from Gdynia and Szczecin.
